The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.

SASSA will be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency explained it's alarmed regarding the superior variety of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a superior quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office dedicated to service the area each day. The assistance place established for intervention experiences a high inflow of possible beneficiaries, which makes it tricky to the office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more resources to help the servicing of all prospects and enhance entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
